Welcome to the new dedicated website for MD Records, we started this site so that we can get information about our new releases and other records and merchandise to you all as fast as possible!

“Mar V Lus” records was a 1960’s soul label from Chicago Illinois, founded by Ernest and George Leaner. Alvin Welch was born on the 15th February 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is best known for his hit in 1963 “It’s Twine Time” with his band “The Crawlers”, later renamed “The Registers”. Sadly Alvin died on21st November 1999 in Chicago of ulcer complications. This atmospheric, powerful, “semi instrumental” from 1965 is in EXCELLENT condition, worth checking the flip too

Due to continued being on another buying trip for the next 10 days we decided to keep free shipping as a thanks for your patience while you wait for us to process your order.

No orders made from 1 April until 18th April will be shipped until after our return to the UK.

Sorry we cannot do free international shipping but if you have friends in the UK ask them to take your order, or if you are buying lots off singles drop us a line at [email protected] and let us see what we can do.

Free UK postage (Royal Mail Tracked) will now run until 31st March 2024.
