Astors – Candy – Stax

Out of stock

This Memphis based vocal quartet comprised Curtis Johnson, Eliehue “Eddie” Stanback, Sam “Byrnes” Jones and Richard Harris, they started out in 1958 as The Duntinos, becoming The Chips in 1961, after the name of their producer Chips Moman, recording one single at “Stax” records. In 1963 they changed their name to The Astors and released four singles at “Stax” records. This disc from 1965 has a bit of sticker staining to the label with superficial wear to the label and vinyl , whilst retaining some gloss, conservatively graded in VG+ condition with a slight edge lift, worth checking out the flip too.
