Jerry Williams Jr. was born on July 14th, 1942 in Portsmouth, Virginia and is better known by his pseudonym “Swamp Dogg”. Williams made his first recording in 1954 as “Little Jerry”. In 1963 he changed that to “Little Jerry Williams”. In 1970 he took the persona of “Swamp Dogg” and released his first album “Total Destruction To Your Mind”. He is also noted as a songwriter and producer. Jerry produced this track on Bette, about whom little is known, apart from 4 singles she cut around 1971, this one and 3 for the “RCA” records subsidiary, “Gregar” records. This disc has light wear, conservatively graded in VG++ condition, worth checking out the instrumental flip too!!
