Betty Everett was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on 23rd November 1939. She moved to Chicago, Illinois, in 1957 to pursue a career in music and recorded for various small local Chicago soul labels, before she was signed in 1963 to Vee-Jay Records. After Vee-Jay folded in 1966, she recorded for several other labels, including ABC, Fantasy, and Uni, her final recording coming out in 1980. Betty sadly died on 19th August 2001 in Beloit, Wisconsin. This is class, paced Chicago Northern from 1965 in EXCELLENT condition, backed with “The Shoe Won’t Fit” – Worth checking out!!
