Calvin Arnold – Lovely Way To Go – Venture

Only 1 left in stock

“Venture” records began on October 2, 1967, in California as a subsidiary of “MGM” records, for their Soul and Funk acts. It was headed by William “Mickey” Stevenson until 1969, when the label was closed. In this time Clarence Alexander Avant worked for the label before founding “Sussex” records. Calvin Arnold AKA Funny Bone from Georgia was in The Gardenias, and in his own right was a Soul and Funk singer, guitarist, songwriter and producer. In addition to his own releases, Calvin also operated a studio and produced many songs for other artists. This disc from 1968 has some superficiial wear to the label and vinyl, whilst still retaining gloss, conservatively graded between VG+ and VG++ condition, worth checking the flip too
