Commodores – The Zoo – Tamla Motown

The Commodores formed as freshmen in Tuskegee University, Alabama, in 1968 comprising Lionel Richie, Thomas McClary, William King, Andre Callahan, Michael Gilbert and Milan Williams, signing to Motown in 1972, starting with a support stint in The Jackson 5 tour. They started recording in 1969 in a career that lasted to early 1990’s and have sold in total over 75 million records. This disc from 1974 picked up spins on the British Northern Soul scene, and is a nice U.K. “Promo” in EXCELLENT condition
