Conny Van Dyke was born on September 28th, 1945 in Nassawadox, Virginia. She began as a songwriter and recording artist for “Wheelsville” records in Detroit. In 1960, she entered and won the “Miss Teen USA” contest and was signed to “Motown” records in 1961, making her one of the first white recording artists for the label. Her only Motown release appeared in early 1963 and featured the songs “It hurt me too” backed with “Oh Freddy” written by Smokey Robinson. She continued to pursue recording and acting. This disc has a “drill hole” and wear, whilst retaining a little gloss, conservatively graded between VG and VG+ condition, worth checking out the flip too
