Bill Meeks was a jingle writer in Chicago in the late 1960’s who started “Alteen” records and “Winner” records, putting out records by Sunday Williams, Drake and the En-Solids, Earl Duff, The Supurbs and Johnny McCall.  Drake & The En-Solids were a soul group from Morgan Park, led by Drake McGilbery and they had two releases on the label in 1968, plus D. McGilbery wrote many of the tunes released on the label by other artists. This disc has superficial scuffs to the label, whilst still retaining some gloss, conservatively graded in VG+ condition, worth checking the flip too
