Drifters – What To Do – Atlantic

Only 1 left in stock

The Drifters were originally formed as a backing group for Clyde McPhatter. George Treadwell owned the Drifters’ name from 1955, after McPhatter left, so has had 60 different group members, including several splinter groups by former Drifters members (not under Treadwell’s management). These groups are usually identified with a possessive credit such as “Bill Pinkney’s Original Drifters”, “Charlie Thomas’ Drifters”. The three golden eras of the Drifters were the early 1950’s, the 1960’s, and the early 1970’s, and throughout the decades had over a dozen hits. This disc is a potential winner in the same vein as “Drip Drop”. This disc has a bit of red ink smudging on this side, and a little writing on the flip with red marker and biro. The vinyl has light, superficial scuffs, whilst retaining gloss. The disc is conservatively graded between VG+ and VG++ condition, worth checking the flip too
