“Big Top” records was founded in New York City in 1958 by Julian and Jean Aberbach as a subsidiary label of “Hill & Range” records. The Dynamics were formed in the early 1960s. Their first hit was  “Misery” in 1963, which formed the basis for The Who’s first record “Zoot Suit”. In the late 1960s the group was managed by Ted White, who married Aretha Franklin, releasing two albums and charting three “R & B” hits on the U.S. R&B charts between 1973 and 1974.
