“Tru Glo Town” records from Englewood, New Jersey was owned by Trude Heller, Gloria Toote and Ed Townsend. Edward Benjamin Townsend was born on the 16th April 1929 Fayetteville, Tennessee. Ed graduated from Arkansas state college and taught briefly before joining the Marine Corps and serving two years in Korea. He toured the Far East with bandleader Horace Heidt and moved to Los Angeles in the mid1 950’s. He became an accomplished singer/songwriter renowned for his 1958 hit “For Your Love” and a string of hits. Ed sadly died on 13th August 2003. This great double sided slab of Soul from 1966 is in EXCELLENT condition
