Ernie Andrews was born on December 25th, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, then his family moved to Los Angeles, he sang in a church choir, and while still attending high school had a few hits for “G&G” label. He then recorded for “Aladdin” records, “Columbia” records, and “London” records in the late 1940s. Despite his unchanging style, Andrews continued to record throughout the decades on numerous labels including “Dot” records, “Capitol” records and “Phil La” records. This disc from 1965 has some superficial scuffs and 1 light feelable scratch on the “Where Were You” side, also a red cross on the label on the flip, the disc is conservatively graded in VG+ condition, worth checking out the flip too!
