Antoine “Fats” Domino Jr.  was born on February 26th, 1928 in New Orleans, Louisiana and learned to play the piano in about 1938 from his brother-in-law, the jazz guitarist Harrison Verrett. He was signed to “Imperial” records in 1949 releasing a string of hits, having over 60 records released by the label, until it was sold in 1963. He moved to ABC Paramount in 1963, releasing 11 records for the label, before leaving in 1965 for “Mercury” records, then Dave Bartholomew’s “Broadmoor” records, then “Reprise” records. Fats Domino sadly died on October 24th, 2017, in Harvey, Louisiana, at the age of 89, from natural causes. This disc is in EXCELLENT condition, worth checking out the flip too!!
