The Larks were started by Weldon Mcdougall in 1954 and comprised himself, Calvin Nichols, Mary Archer and brothers Clarence and Bill Blalock. Mary Archer was soon replaced by Herman Green but by the end of the year McDougal joined the marines and had a group with the same name while¬† still in the marines. Having left the service in 1958, he he reformed the group, changing the name to “The Larks” c after seeing a brand of nails called Lark. In 1961, “It’s Unbelievable” was released on “Sheryl” records. Further success eluded them and their last release was on “Uptown” records in 1969 with “Keep Climbing Brothers” backed with “It’s Unbelievable”. This disc has light superficial wear, conservatively graded in VG++ condition, worth checking the flip too
