The Four Holidays began as the Fresandos, who recorded on “Star-X” records in 1959. Renaming themselves the Four Holidays, they recorded on “Master” Records. They recorded two records on “Markie” records in 1963 and 1964. They changed their name to the Holidays and scored with their first release in 1966, “I Love You Forever,” which bizarrely they didn’t sing on!! They recorded three records for “Revilot” records between 1967 and 1968. They recorded 1 record for “Soulhawk” records in 1969 which was rereleased by “Westbound” records in 1970 and credited it as the New Holidays. They signed with “Marathon” records in 1973 for two records, one credited as the Holidays and one as the Fabulous Holidays. Singles on “Rob-Ron” records and “Ron-Hol” records followed in 1975 and 1976, with a final release on “Holiday” records, before they they disbanded. This disc has some light wear to the vinyl, conservatively graded in VG++ condition, worth checking out the equally brilliant flip!!
