“Smash” records was a subsidiary of “Mercury” records, set up in 1961 for anything outside of it’s core focus of pop and orchestral music with Shelby S. Singleton Jr in charge of the label. After “Philips” recordsbought “Mercury” records with “Fontana as a subsidiary for International output, “Smash” records became a “country” label with some rock, R&B and pop mixed in. Little is known about this duo, with this 1967 release seemingly their only recorded work. This disc has black marker on the label, otherwise is in EXCELLENT condition, worth checking the flip
