James Walter Castor was born on June 23, 1940. He started a group called Jimmy and the Juniors and in late 1966, he released “Hey Leroy, Your Mama’s Callin’ You” as a solo artist and leader of The Jimmy Castor Bunch in the 1970s, releasing several successful albums and singles. The Jimmy Castor Bunch included keyboardist/trumpeter Gerry Thomas, bassist Doug Gibson, guitarist Harry Jensen, conga player Lenny Fridle, Jr., and drummer Bobby Manigault. Jimmy Castor sadly died on January 16th, 2012 in Henderson, Nevada. This disc from 1968 has light wear, a small bit of writing on the label and a very slight edge lift, conservatively graded in VG++ condition
