Jimmy Robins – In My Heart – Jerhart

James Ray Robbins was born on July 31st, 1934 in Tarrant Co, TX. He first recorded as Robbin Ray with two singles on “Combo” records in the 1950’s, then recording as James Robbins for “Federal” records. His next record “I Can’t Please You” on “Impression” records was picked up by Bob Lee in Chicago who put them out on “Jerhart” records, following up with “In My Heart”. He then moved to “20th Century” records for “Waiting On You” backed with “Shine It On” then recording for “Kent” records. He recorded one single for Ray Charles’  “Tangerine” records before recording for Cliff Goldsmith’s “Convoy” records. In the 1970s he recorded a couple of 45s for “Ala” records. Jimmy stopped recording and appeared in shows like “Black and Blue” and made appearances on film and TV shows. Jimmy sadly died on Christmas Eve 2007 in New York. This disc from 1966 has some slight wear to the label, otherwise is in EXCELLENT condition!!
