The Jive Five were formed in Brooklyn, New York, and comprised Eugene Pitt, Jerome Hanna, Richard Harris, Billy Prophet, and Norman Johnson. The Jive Five refashioned themselves as a soul band in 1964, comprising Eugene Pitt, Norman Johnson,  Casey Spencer, Webster Harris, and Beatrice Best, signing to “United Artists” records, leaving in 1966 for “Musicor” records and  in 1970 for “Decca” records, changing their name to the Jive Fyve. The group continued to perform and record for a variety of small labels during the following decades. This disc has some superficial scuffs to the vinyl, whilst retaining gloss, and light wear to the label, conservatively graded in VG+ condition, worth checking out the flip too
