Joe Simon was born on 2nd September 1943 in Simmesport, Louisiana, who started his career when he moved to Oakland, California and released, “My Adorable One” in 1962. In 1964 he met John Richbourg, a Nashville disc jockey who began guiding the singer’s musical path, initially on “Sound Stage 7” records. In 1970 he moved to the “Polydor” records subsidiary “Spring” records until 1980 when he returned to Nashville. From that time, Simon’s work was restricted to local labels. This disc from 1966 has superficial scuffs to the vinyl whilst still retaining some gloss, conservatively graded in VG+ condition, worth checking the flip too.
