Johnny Sayles – My Loves A Monster – Chi Town

Johnny Sayles was born on 9th February 1937 in Winnsboro, Texas and relocated to St. Louis by the time he was 18 and worked with Eugene Neal’s Rocking Kings and then Ike Turner’s Kings Of Rhythm in 1958.
Between 1959 and 1961, Johnny had his own band. In 1963 he joined the Five Dutones. Johnny went on to record for several other labels, including “Mar-V-Lus” records, “St Lawrence” records, “Dakar” records, “Brunswick” records, “Chi-Town” records, “Chess” records and “Minit” records. Johnny Sayles sadly died of heart attack on 17th August 1993 in Chicago, Illinois. This RARE promo has writing on the label , with superficial wear, whilst retaining gloss, conservatively graded in VG+ condition. The flip, however is trashed and doesn’t play
