Revoyda Frierson was born on August 16th, 1934 in Hope, Arkansas. She won a scholarship to study music in San Francisco and in the early 1950s, she began performing under the name “Ketty Lester” , recording her first single for “Everest” records, moving to “Era” records, where she had a massive hit with “love Letters” in 1961, then after a few more releases, signed for “RCA” records in 1964, where she released several singles and two albums, before moving to “Tower” records, issuing a single and album, before moving to “Pete” records. By the early 1970s, she gave up singing commercially and turned to acting, establishing herself as a television actress in the 1970s and 1980s, appearing in “Days Of Our Lives” and “The Little House On The Prairie”. This disc has scuffs, wear and light scratches to the vinyl, whilst still retaining some gloss, conservatively graded in VG condition
