Produced by co-writer Paul Leka and Mike Jacobs for the “Adams Apples” on “Brunswick” records in 1968, with arranging and conducting by Leka. Later in the year Leka rearranged the song and produced it for The Leaders on Blue Rock. Blue Rock was a US label specializing in Blues, R&B and Soul. It was launched in late 1964 by the Mercury Record Corporation.
The label’s recordings were produced in-house or were leased from independent producers around the US. The label did not enjoy great successes and was suspended in 1966, hardly two years after it’s launch. The label was revived in 1968, again for a relatively short period.
