Arthur Lee Maye was born on 11th December 1934 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and was a major league baseballer, but was also considered to be one of the finest tenors from the Los Angeles doo-wop scene, releasing records in his own right, and also as lead singer of The Crowns on “Gloria” records and The Jayos on “Dig” records. Lee Maye sadly died on 17th July, 2002 in Riverside, California. This disc from 1962 has some light superficial scuffs and feint biro, conservatively graded in VG++ condition

Due to continued being on another buying trip for the next 10 days we decided to keep free shipping as a thanks for your patience while you wait for us to process your order.

No orders made from 1 April until 18th April will be shipped until after our return to the UK.

Sorry we cannot do free international shipping but if you have friends in the UK ask them to take your order, or if you are buying lots off singles drop us a line at [email protected] and let us see what we can do.
