Len Barry – Hearts Are Trump – Parkway

Leonard W. Borisoff was born in Philadelphia in 1942, and was the vocalist for the 1958 single “Mope-Itty Mope,” recorded by the Boss-Tones. He formed the  Dovells in 1957, and sang along on their Top Ten hits “The Bristol Stomp” and “You Can’t Sit Down.” Barry left the group in 1963 and signed with Decca as a solo act. The single “1-2-3” became a big hit in 1965, and just missed topping the charts. Barry hit the Top 40 twice more, in 1966 with “Like a Baby” and “Somewhere”. He continued performing his entertaining stage act, and later moved into production as well. This great bit of Northern from 1964 has some very light wear, and is conservatively graded in VG++ condition. Worth checking out the flip “Little White House”
