Eva Narcissus Boyd was born on June 29th, 1943 in Belhaven, North Carolina. As a teenager, she worked as a maid and earned extra money as a babysitter for songwriters Carole King and Gerry Goffin, who wrote “The Loco Motion” for her and had her record it. She continued to tour and record throughout the1960’s, but her commercial success decreased after 1964. She retired from the music business in 1971. Little Eva sadly died on April 10, 2003, in Kinston, North Carolina. This disc from 1966 has a “drill hole” otherwise is in EXCELLENT condition, worth checking the flip too
