Only 1 left in stock

Louis Thomas Jordan was born on July 8th, 1908 in Brinkley, Arkansas and after a few years playing in the “Chitlin circuit” of the 1930s and just after World War II, he launched a revolutionary sound, “Jump Blues” which evolved into Rhythm And Blues. With his group “The Tympany Five” he had 57 chart hits on “Decca” records between 1942 and 1951, before leaving for “Aladdin” records and in the 1960’s for Ray Charles’ “Tangerine” records. Louis Jordan sadly died on February 4th, 1975 in Los Angeles, California. This disc from 1964 has much wear to the label and vinyl, conservatively graded in G to G+ condition, BUT does play ok, worth checking out the flip
