The group formed in 1957, originally comprising Annette Beard, Rosalind Ashford and Gloria Williams, then joined by Martha Reeves, who moved up in ranks as lead vocalist of the group after Williams’ left in 1962. The group signed with Motown, recording a string of hits and in 1967 the group’s name was officially changed from Martha & The Vandellas to Martha Reeves & The Vandellas. During their nine-year run on the charts from 1963 to 1972, they charted over twenty-six hits, including two R&B number ones, and six Top Ten Pop Hits on the Billboard Hot 100. The disc from 1970 has a drill hole and this side is conservatively graded in VG++ condition. The flip “I Should Be Proud” has some marks and plays with some crackle and noise and would be conservatively graded in VG – condition, whilst still retaining gloss
