Menard Rogers – Good Food I Am For You – Margaret


Menard Rogers was born on February 4th, 1929 in Duncan, Mississippi. From 1946 to 1950 he was with the Ike Prison orchestra in Memphis, Tennessee, then up to 1953 he was entertaining with the armed forces in Germany. From 1954 to 1958 he was with the Jimmy Mcfield band. From 1958 he was a singer under his own name in Chicago, plus saxophone player for Howlin wolf from 1964. Menard had had a half dozen or so 45 releases, plus 1 album on the “Drum Boy” and “Margaret” record labels. This gritty piece of Chicago “R & B” is in EXCELLENT condition.
