Mickey Wood fronted a group and auditioned for “Motown” records in 1959, and was the first white male artist to sign to the label as a solo artist, releasing two records for the “Tamla” records subsidiary in 1961. Mickey went on to record for local Detroit labels for the following 13 years before moving to Alaska in 1975. This disc has a tiny bit of label damage with a black marker cross on the label, with light wear to the vinyl whilst retaining gloss, conservatively graded in VG++ condition, worth checking the flip too
