Mike And Michael – My Neighborhood – Manhattan

£15.00

Only 1 left in stock

This 1965 release by Mike Cavallo and Michael Tomasetti was first issued on “Manhattan” records and then picked up by “Constellation” records, both labels based in Chicago and was an attempt to copy the The Righteous Brothers sound that was popular at that time. These two Mikes are on several other 1960’s recordings while ‘My Neighborhood’ is the only one credited to Mike and Michael. In 1964 the pair along with Louis ‘Chick’ Stella recorded as The Nobles on “USA” record. Then in 1965 as Chick and the Nobles, they had another release on “USA” records. In 1966, they recorded for “United” records  as The Taylor Brothers. After a two year break the trio became a quartet with the inclusion of John McCafferty and issued a single on “USA” records as The Chicago Fire. The greatest success for Stella and Tomasetti came in the summer of 1970, when they hooked up with seven others and had a top 30 hit as The Neighborhood with their recording of Joni Mitchell’s ‘Big Yellow Taxi’. This disc has a “drill hole” otherwise is in EXCELLENT condition – Worth checking out the flip!!
