“Speed” records was founded and run by Morty Craft, Bobby Martin and Stanley Lewis, specialising in Latin Soul and Boogaloo, with it’s entire output released in 1968. This New York band was originally known as The Latin Blues Band featuring Luis Aviles, for their third album they were renamed as Los Astronautas, translated into English as The Moon People, releasing atwo 45’s and an album on “Speed” records in 1968 and a seemingly final 45 on “Slew” records in 1969.
