Nancy Wilson – Ocean Of Love – Capitol


Nancy Wilson was born on February 20th, 1937 in Chillicothe, Ohio. She won a TV-talent show when she 15, and began appearing regularly on the T.V. show “Skyline Melodies” while still in high school. She began working in night clubs at that same age. After graduating from high school, she recorded her first record on “Dot” records with Rusty Bryant’s Carolyn Club Big Band in 1956, with whom she toured from 1956 to 1958. She signed for “Capitol” records in 1960, and made her debut that year with the single. “Guess Who I Saw Today.” and continued to record in a variety of styles for the 50 plus years. Nancy sadly died on December 13th, 2018 in Pioneertown, California. This classy, recommended tune from 1974 is in EXCELLENT condition – Worth checking out the flip “Streetrunner”!!
