“Fountain” records were founded by Jerry Butler and Calvin Carter in 1971, in Chicago, Illinois. The label issued sides on Encantment, Jackie Ross and Billy Butler & Infinity before closing down in 1973. Jerry Butler reactivated the label in 1979 and issued its first single in April, 1980 on the group Omni entitled “Keys To The City/Don’t Be Selfish”. Omni comprised Yendor N. Yessam, aka Rodney Massey, Larry Williams & Lawrence Hanks. The track was played at the legendary Wigan Casino under the guise of “David Porter & The Music Merchants” and was even “bootlegged” due to demand!!! This disc has some light wear to label and vinyl and is conservatively graded in VG++ condition.
