Welcome to the new dedicated website for MD Records, we started this site so that we can get information about our new releases and other records and merchandise to you all as fast as possible!

Firstly we would like to thank all of you for the support and love that has been shown to the label, for us it just serves to validate the fantastic music that was recorded by fabulous musicians, songwriters and label owners that never saw the light of day.

Born on 11th February 1942 in Waxhaw, Mississippi, he moved to Chicago to start his career, where he started singing in gospel groups. In 1965 he was signed at One Derful, when this label folded in 1968 he moved to Atlantic’s Cotillion subsidiary and in 1971 to Hi Records. He continued recording through the 1970’s and 1980’s on various labels including Kayvette, Echo and Rounder. He sadly died on 8th January 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. This disc is in EXCELLENT condition, worth checking the flip

Due to continued being on another buying trip for the next 10 days we decided to keep free shipping as a thanks for your patience while you wait for us to process your order.

No orders made from 1 April until 18th April will be shipped until after our return to the UK.

Sorry we cannot do free international shipping but if you have friends in the UK ask them to take your order, or if you are buying lots off singles drop us a line at [email protected] and let us see what we can do.
