Ramsey Emmanuel Lewis Jr was born on May 27th, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois and began taking piano lessons at the age of four, eventually forming The Ramsey Lewis Trio with drummer Isaac “Red” Holt and Bassist Eldee Young, signing to “Chess” records. Young and Holt left in 1966 to form Young Holt Unlimited, then went through numerous line up changes, and successfully brought his blend of Jazz to a mainstream audience. This disc from 1966 has light wear, conservatively graded in VG++ condition, worth checking the flip too
