Rex Garvin was born on July 24th, 1940 in Harlem and in 1954 he helped form “The Hearts”, a female vocal group with whom he sang bass, played piano and wrote and arranged songs throughout the 1950’s, he had an active involvement in “J & S” records and formed his own group Rex Garvin and the Mighty Cravers in 1961, and although Garvin had little commercial success, he released a string of records through the 1960s in a variety of styles, his last record release being “Strange Happenings” on the Chieftain label in 1971. This CLASSIC from 1966 has some superficial scuffs, whilst retaining gloss, conservatively graded in VG+, worth checking out the flip
