Huey Purvis Meaux was born on 10th March 1929 in Wright, Louisiana, moving to Winnie Texas when he was 12, he became a music producer and recording studio owner, nicknamed “The Crazy Cajun” and made most of his career in Houston, Texas, where he worked at the Gold Star recording studio in the 1960’s, born 10 March 1929 in Wright, Louisiana; died 23 March 2011 in Winnie, Texas. In 1972 he took over the studio and renamed it Sugar Hill studios. This 1960’s label from Houston, Texas founded by Huey P. Meaux
