Edna Wright was born on February 2, 1945 in Los Angeles, California and was the sister of Darlene Love. She released solo records under the name “Sandy Wynns” but also sang back up for many famous artists over the years including The Righteous Brothers, Ray Charles, Johnny Rivers, Cher, Kim Carnes, U2 and Aaron Neville.  She was best known as the lead singer of Honey Cone, the girl group that went to No. 1 with “Want Ads” in 1971. Edna was also married to Greg Perry. Edna Wright sadly died on September 12th, 2020 in Encino, California. This disc from 1967 is in EXCELLENT condition
