Brothers Jay and L.A. Almon grew up performing gospel music as part of  The Almonaires before joining up with Jimmy Norvet, Ronnie “Buzzard” Threatt, and Buddy Howard to back The Royal Esquires as The Soul Partners in 1968. They were the backing band for Bill Moss’ “Holiday” records and released  “Look In The Mirror” as The Vondors and “Lose The One You Love” as The Soul Partners in 1969, which was also picked up by “Bell” records with a further record for that label to follow in that year. They became The Soul Ensemble and had a release on “Prix” records before becoming The Buckeye Politicians. This disc is in EXCELLENT condition, worth checking out the flip too
