“Carnival” records from New Jersey was started in 1962 and was co-owned for the first half dozen releases by Joe Evans and Paul Williams, but around 1965 Joe Evans assumed overall control. Eventual demise came in the early 1970’s . The Topics reocorded from 1966 to 1987,  mainly for small New York recording companies. Beginning as The Uniteds, they signed with “Chess” records in 1965 with a lineup of Ronald McCoy, Vaughn Curtis, Wesley “Bobby” Adams, and Gerald Jones.
Now a trio comprising McCoy, Curtis, and Adams, they signed with “Carnival” records. Through various line up changes and recording for a variety of labels, the group continued until the late 1970’s. This disc has a “drill hole” and light wear to the label and vinyl, whilst retaining gloss, conservatively graded in VG+ condition, worth checking out the flip too
