During the late 1950’s, Troy Dodds was singing with local groups in the San Francisco area, but released 6 or so 45’s as a solo singer between 1962 and 1966 on a variety of labels, releasing his last record “Try My Love – El Camino” through his own publishing company “Golden Gate Disk”, financed by basketball player Wilt Chamberlain, then a member of the Golden State Warriors. Soon after, Dodds disappeared, never to be heard from again. This great early tune from 1962 is in EXCELLENT condition.
