Wilmer & The Dukes was formed in 1957, in Geneva, New York, comprising Wilmer Alexander Jr., Ron Alberts, Ralph “Duke” Gillotte, Monte Alberts and Doug Brown they became well known on the New York club and college circuit, as well as an in demand opening act for national pop, rock and soul acts touring the region. They signed for the small “Aphrodisiac” records, where they recorded a handful of 45’s and an album. This disc from 1968 has some light superficial marks to the vinyl, whilst retaining gloss, conservatively graded between VG+ and VG++ condition, worth checking the flip too
